Experience
The Foundation of My Work
I earned my Master of Social Work from California State University, Fresno, and my path into therapy began in direct service with survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. That early work shaped the way I understand trauma: not as something wrong with you, but as something your mind and body learned to do in order to survive.
My clinical background includes child welfare, work with youth at risk for commercial sexual exploitation, crisis therapy with youth and families, and clinical supervision. Across these settings, I have learned to move with steadiness, respect, and flexibility while supporting people through overwhelming seasons of life.
I bring training in trauma therapy, EMDR, somatic therapy, mindfulness, crisis response, CBT, grief and loss, and culturally sensitive care. I am also a certified surf instructor and have facilitated surf therapy grief support groups on the Washington coast, which continues to shape my belief that healing can be both grounded and creative.
